Hornist Renée Vogen is an active freelancer in the Chicagoland area and performs regularly as the principal horn of the Northbrook Symphony. Dedicated to teaching, Renée maintains a private horn studio and is the adjunct professor of horn at Concordia University Chicago. Renée earned her Master’s degree in horn performance from DePaul University under the tutelage of James Smelser, and her Bachelor’s in horn performance and Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music under the instruction of W. Peter Kurau.
