What God Tells Me Lenten Concert, 2019
Mahler wrote the following with regard to the sixth movement (Finale) of this symphony: The motto to this movement reads “Father, look at my wounds! Let no creature of thine be lost!” I could almost call the movement "What God Tells Me," in the sense that God can only be understood as love.
And so my work begins with lifeless nature and ascends to the love of God.
